LA MORRA
La Morra is the highest situated of the 11 Barolo villages and, together with Serralunga, is home to the most crus, specifically 39. Due to its elevated position, it offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Barolo vineyards from its centrally located square. The bottega in La Morra is highly recommended, as are the hospitality venues More e Macine and the Cantina Sociale. They offer challenging wine lists and are great places to meet winemakers.
Together with Novello, the soil composition of this municipality is among the youngest in the appellation, which results in aromatic and refined Barolos with softer tannins than those from other municipalities. Well-known cru vineyards include: Brunate, Rocche dell' Annunziata, Capalot, and Arborina.
