Teodoro | Barolo MGA

Teodoro is geographically part of the Cerretta hill, much like the neighboring MGA Prapò, and is situated almost entirely on a single continuous slope that descends eastward from the top of Cerretta, with a uniform exposure and gently rolling slopes. The soil remains based on the Lequio formation throughout, but becomes younger as the slope descends: higher up on the hill, you find less weathered soil, while lower down there are more developed, mature soils.
Barolos from Teodoro generally have good color and body, and can sometimes exceed what one might expect based on the somewhat modest reputation of this MGA — although they rarely equal the finesse of the most prominent vineyards in the vicinity.
