La Morra
La Morra is the highest of the 11 Barolo villages and, together with Serralunga, houses the most crus, namely 39. Due to its high location, it has a beautiful panoramic view of the Barolo vineyards from the central square. The botega of La Morra is recommended, as are the catering establishments More e Macine and the Cantina Sociale. Challenging wine lists and places to meet winemakers.
The soil composition of the municipality, together with Novello, is among the youngest in the appellation and this produces aromatic and refined Barolos with softer tannins than other municipalities. Well-known cru vineyards are: Brunate, Rocche dell' Annunziata, Capalot and Arborina.
