The wine
The Barbera among the Barberas! The wonderful acidity is followed by a layering of flavors such as ripe cherries and raspberries, fresh thyme and other Italian herbs. With 15% alcohol, it is preferably a wine that should be eaten. Widely applicable but especially delicious with salted potatoes, pasta with cheese sauce, spicy food and roast meat. Textbook Barbera!

Beautiful family business located just south of Barolo. If you are talking about authenticity, then you have come to the right place with the Cagliero family. Time has stood still there and they would like to keep it that way.
Father, mother and son Stefano run their cantina as it has been done for generations, full of passion and passion. They produce wonderfully unique wines of high quality. Stefano is the key player in wine making and his father helps him with it, while his mother runs the agriturismo located near the company.
In addition to a lot of other tasty wines, they make a Barolo Ravera, a Barolo Terlo and a Barolo Ravera Riserva. With the Riserva version we immediately have a prize winner. One of the finest Barolos we have tasted.
The story goes that the top secret recipe for their Barolo Chinato (a herbal drink with Barolo as its main ingredient) was found years later on an old beam in the attic, where it had been written down by Stefano's great-grandmother.
Cagliero produces almost 50,000 bottles per year and works with both barrique and tonneaux, but uses large wooden barrels for maturation for the Barolo line. The Dolcetto comes from the vineyard that used to belong to the nonna.
Remarkable; They use green pruning for their Barbera and their Langhe Bianco is an excellent blend of Arneis, Favorita and Sauvignon.
