The wine
One of our favorite Barberas from one of our favorite wine growers, that can only produce a top wine! 12 months in used tonneaux produces a wine with a ruby red color with a fruity and spicy aroma. Lots of red fruit such as blackberries and currants, but also green pepper, cinnamon and cocoa. Pleasantly bitter in the mouth, full, fruity and slightly spicy. Heavenly long finish.

Small but nice certainly applies to this fantastic family business from the Langhe. Near Monforte in the hamlet of Perno is a cantina that produces the most delicious wines. They make just 12,000 bottles annually and every bottle is a hit. After the death of her father Stefano, daughter Chiara and her husband Clemente built a small but high-quality arsenal of traditional Piedmontese wines. Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Arneis. Viticulture as it has been practiced in Piedmont for centuries, unknown small family businesses with jewels of wine.
After the late Nebbiolo harvest in the Langhe, they leave together for the south of Italy to harvest the olives from the Clemente olive grove, which has its roots in the south of Italy .
Pure, real and delicious!
