Boschetti | Barolo MGA

Boschetti forms an extension of the Bricco San Pietro ridge, above the village of Barolo. At the summit, Diano sandstone and Sant'Agata Fossili marl alternate: the higher parts of the ridge consist of Diano sandstone with more weathered soils and a gentler slope, while lower down, the soil becomes younger and transitions into sandy Sant'Agata Fossili marl.
Notably, the ridge has two opposing slopes: the west flank is gentle, while the east flank is steeper, especially near the strip of vegetation that marks the transition between both soil types there. Barolos from Boschetti generally come from the west flank and tend towards an elegant, floral style, although they can also be firmly structured, depending on the soil type and the producer.
