Bricco Rocca | Barolo MGA

Bricco Rocca is situated between the hamlets of Annunziata and Santa Maria in La Morra, on one of the typically round-shaped hills with sandy Sant'Agata Fossili marl that characterizes this region. That soil type is often associated with an accessible, early-drinking style of Barolo.
However, Bricco Rocca is one of the exceptions within Annunziata that does not fit that mold: the wines show a harmonious structure with a pleasantly rough tannin texture, without matching the power of a Barolo from Bussia, but with a rigor that goes beyond what one would expect from the soil.
