Prapò | Barolo MGA

Prapò is located halfway between the hamlet of Baudana and the center of Serralunga d'Alba, on a south to south-east facing slope between 270 and 400 meters in altitude — one of the best-exposed spots on the eastern side of the village. The soil belongs to the Lequio formation and is rich in silt and clay (over 30%), with a high limestone content.
That silt and clay-rich profile gives the wines a dark, fleshy nose with distinct balsamic notes, and a surprisingly firm yet non-drying tannin structure — a style that comes fully into its own after a few years of bottle aging.
