Teodoro | Barolo MGA

Teodoro is geographically part of the Cerretta hill, much like the neighbouring MGA Prapò, and lies almost entirely on a single continuous slope that descends eastward from the top of Cerretta, with a uniform exposure and increasingly gentle slopes. The soil is based on the Lequio Formation throughout, but changes as the slope descends: higher up you find younger, less weathered soil, lower down more developed, mature soils.
Barolos from Teodoro generally have good colour and body, and can sometimes exceed what one might expect from the somewhat modest reputation of this MGA, although they rarely match the finesse of the most prestigious vineyards nearby.
