Small but nice certainly applies to this fantastic family business from the Langhe. Near Monforte in the hamlet of Perno is a cantina that produces the most delicious wines. They make just 12,000 bottles annually and every bottle is a hit.
After the death of her father Stefano, daughter Chiara and her husband Clemente built a small but high-quality arsenal of traditional Piedmontese wines. Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Arneis. Viticulture as it has been practiced in Piedmont for centuries, unknown small family businesses with jewels of wine.
After the late Nebbiolo harvest in the Langhe, they leave together for the south of Italy to harvest the olives from the Clemente olive grove, which has its roots in the south of Italy .

The wine
Beautiful Nebbiolo from Perno. Very pure and with the grape in the leading role, as with all Oreste wines. Bright rust brown color. Aroma of fresh black fruit, wet grass, stable floor and cherries. Plenty of juice in the mouth with a velvety tannin feeling on the tongue and a persistent aftertaste. Very tasty!
