This beautiful new wine from the portfolio of Massimo Benvelli comes from the higher and cooler Serravalle Langhe. Beautiful dark glass with spicy notes of pepper, sal ammoniac and celeriac in the nose. Warm and spicy in the mouth but with a fresh aftertaste. Very nice!

BENEVELLI PIERO
The authentic winery Benevelli Piero is located in Monforte d'Alba in the frazione San Giuseppe. Today the house is run by Massimo, a modest man who produces some beautiful wines in the traditional way. Only large wood is used for the maturation of the red wines, with the exception that the Barolos are matured on tonneaux for the last year. This produces three quality Barolos, from his three different vineyards, all located in Monforte and of which Le Coste is located next to his cantina. Massimo is of the old school, there is not even a sign on the road to indicate that you are actually at a winery, let alone that there is a website available for this quality house. These are the houses we love. Authentic, honest, with respect for the country and its traditions.
